Agility Dogs

Maverick Agility is a privately run canine agility training school in Fort Wayne Indiana. It was founded in June of 2011 in northeast Indiana. Lisa Fair is dedicated to teaching and training handlers and dogs for competition agility. Maverick Agility focuses on Foundation skills for both the handler and dog. Positive methods are used to help you and your dog to understand what is required and for the dog to enjoy playing the ďgameĒ with you.

The American Kennel Club describes agility as a sport that appeals to all dog lovers, from young people to senior citizens. Agility is designed to demonstrate a dogís willingness to work with its handler in a variety of situations. It is an athletic event that requires conditioning, concentration, training and teamwork. Running a dog in an agility trial is the ultimate game for you and your dog. In an agility trial, a dog demonstrates its agile nature and versatility by following cues from the handler through a timed obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, weave poles and other objects. Itís an activity that strengthens the bond between dog and handler and provides fun and exercise for both. All of this might explain why itís so enjoyable to run and has become the fastest-growing dog sport in the United States!

Maverick Agility is where teamwork, precision, speed and fun is a journey that is well worth the time. I have a deep appreciation for this incredible sport and I would love to share my enthusiasm and love of agility with you. Feel free to contact me with your questions.
